Our offers to UWC are for a two-year, pre-University period of overseas study from August/September (January of the following year for Waterford Kamhlaba). 

The decision of who to send to each college is based on a number of factors – an applicant’s interests, their personality, maturity and how they would complement the other selected students for that college.

UWC Australia attempts to match successful candidates to a college that suits them, and some UWCs also have certain characteristics that they look for in students, which helps ensure the student can thrive in that environment. 

We encourage all of our applicants to be open to the idea of studying at any college. However, applicants will get the opportunity to share with the selections team about their interests, motivation and preferences. UWC Australia ultimately decides the assignment of places after careful consideration of the candidate’s profile.

Offers 2024-2026

UWC Australia has not yet received offers for entry 2024-2026. Please check back in November for more details on which of the 18 colleges we will be able to send students!

Applicant’s college preferences are considered however, students are encouraged to apply to the UWC movement, not a specific college.

Young Australians or permanent residents (living in Australia) aged 16 or 17 on Sept 1st 2024 are eligible to apply.

Applications for the 2024-2026 intake will close on 4th Feb 2024.

Students are selected for a place at a UWC by the selection panel on merit. All scholarships are financial needs-based and the amount of financial support for students is dependent on families undertaking a means test through UWC International Office. The national committee receives funded, partially funded and unfunded (full fees places only) offers. Not all colleges will offer us a place each year.
